I've had Trigeminal Neuralgia for at least two months and only went to the doctor because I had a chest infection after coming home from a wonderful week away in Tenerife courtesy of our son and daughter-in-law. We went there to do nothing and nothing is exactly what we did. I didn't even go out of the hotel once until the day we went home. I got up in the morning, had breakfast, went to the pool and sat there all day reading on my Kindle then got up around 5ish and went to the room, had a shower and did my hair - no make-up, and then went for dinner at eight. Met some new friends for drinks afterwards and generally had a great time.
I didn't take any photos but these I grabbed from online. It's a lovely hotel and we've been there 5 times so far. It is very disabled friendly and I don't mean that it has a luggage ramp for a wheelchair! It has proper ramps and my scooter was acting up so with the help of my DH and my stick because our room was so near everything I was able to walk after a fashion. So that was it reallly. Sun, Pool, Food and GREAT books. I finished reading Book 4 "Threading The Needle" by Marie Bostwick and it is Number 4 in the Cobbled Quilts series and for some reason I thought there were 10 of them but there aren't!!! There are only 5 and I don't want to read the 5th one yet because I will have to wait too long before I can read number 6 - so come on Marie get WRITING please. The other GREAT book I read whilst away was by Victoria Hislop and it is called "The Thread" and it was awesome. Just a heads up ladies and gents.
If you haven't read Maries' books yet I would so enourage you to and be sure and start from the first one.
So here are some photos I stole from the Hotel Adeje Gran in Costa Adeje, Tenerife

The Restaurant - mostly the food was okay Not as good as in previous years but I still managed to gain weight
The Bedroom - these haven't changed in the 10 years we have been going there
The Pools - well two of them anyway and if you look to the far left - well you can't actually see that far - that is where I sat on my backside for the whole week and read
Lots of Love

I stayed here many times in the late 90's. Beautiful hotel for winter breaks.
